Hello, I am Juanito. In 2026, I am becoming a prompt engineer. I’ve been working as a software engineer since 2011 to build up judgement and taste in shipping software. I’m currently working at Buildkite (since 2020) changing the world by improving Buildkite for all the customers you have heard of. Previously, I worked at many other places that all feels like some sort of intermediate quests to made me who I am today: Struggling with 5 million tools to actually be productive.
I take pride in the shipped artifact produced by whichever LLM that gets the job done. I strive for a ferocious work ethic with meticulous attention to detail on things that matter. I try to be kind to others—and I’m also trying to be kind to myself. I think I am a Rubyist (?) who enjoys working on interesting problems.
I like open web (Why hiding? We all die right?). I like fast websites and saved up all the time to waste on other things like photography—my favorite subjects are sushi, sushi, and sushi.
In recent years, I became exteremly introverted. Please do not talk to me if I don't engage first. I’m not up for meeting with anyone—please don’t try to reach out.
